Microsoft Certified Me

On Wednesday, I went to sit my exam for ISA Server 2004 to complete my MCSA – Just over half of the way to my MCSE. Unfortunately I failed the exam, much to my disgust.

With my head in the sand over the horror of failing an exam, I spoke to my boss Colin to kindly agreed to letting me take the exam again today before I went away on holiday next week and my brain turned into sun burnt goo and I forgot everything I learnt in the last couple of weeks.

I spent Wednesday and Thursday night revising hard and making extra notes for the exam and I’m pleased to say that it paid off, as little old me is now a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator.

Sure it doesn’t quite cut the mustard compared to Colin’s MCSE, MCTS and MCITP but its a step in the right direction. Fortunately my next exam will be the Active Directory one which I think I will find a hell of a lot easier than the ISA Server one just passed. Active Directory included, I have only two exams left to do for my MCSE and three for my MCSE: Security and I’m hoping to churn them out at a decent rate unlike my recent performances.

Night x
