Yup thats right, 5 days left! Well that’s until due date, doesn’t mean baby will come then. I could in theory have another 3 weeks left!

Finally though we are ready for her, clothes are washed and ironed and crib is up and made, pool and other bits are in the lounge ready, and the midwives homebirth kit is under the kitchen table ready to go, all thats missing now is a baby!! Not really been feeling anything like its coming, but then again I didn’t with Maddy, no warning, just waters breaking the day after she was due!

Had a busy week of doing not a lot, haven’t really got any energy to be going out, takes all I have just to keep the house in a reasonable state and try and keep up with washing and ironing. This weekend we have swimming, and then Rich hopefully will finish off Maddy’s new room ready for her to move in, then I can put all baby’s stuff away in drawers and in the wardrobe, as its currently in piles in the bottom on Maddy’s wardrobe now. There isn’t really much to do now, just a bit of filling and sanding, painting the coving and door frame, and then all the little bits like curtain pole, pictures and plug socket etc. I built the bedside table and chest of drawers in two evenings this week, so its only the wardrobe to assemble once the other bits are done, move the bed up and hey presto, a lovely new pink room for my little girl!

 Once this room is done, apart from the kitchen there is only one room left to do, and thats our bedroom! Cant believe we have done so much in 1 year! Of course there is the hall, stairs, landing, stairs, landing, stairs landing etc etc etc but I choose to forget about that for now, as thats gonne be one expensive job! Our bedroom is gonna be fairly pricey too, as I want carpet in there, also not sure it will be the odd one out as all the other rooms have laminate…but I guess I still have a long while to decide on that for definate. I dont think we’ll be starting that for a long time though, as we are hopefully doing the kitchen in Febuary, and then we wanna spend some time working on the garden, so Maddy has somewhere to play this year, and without annoying cat (yes we gave her away to a new family last Sunday) there shouldn’t be poo everywhere stinking up the place!

Anyway I think thats probably enough waffle for me, have some more ironing to do – oh joy!
