Well I am officially on my second day of Maternity leave and it’s great! I love not having to get up and rush around, and it’s lovely spending so much more time with Maddy…every says I’ll be bored after 9 months, but I seriously don’t think I will…we will see though.

Maddy’s room is coming on lovely. Its had its initial coats of paint, the pink is lovely!!! and skirting is cut and ready to be painted, window sill and ceiling have both had one coat and need one more. We are going to pick up the flooring on Thursday, so hopefully that will go down on Friday and then the furniture can go up, which arrived this morning. Can really see it coming together now!! Sooo excited. Later this week I will get all the baby stuff out of the garage and have a good sort through, see what I can use and what needs washing etc. Then after that it’s just the crib to go up.

I guess I should also pack a labour bag in case I do have to go into hospital, but I kinda feel thats thinking that the homebirth could go wrong! So I might just put it all together and not actually pack it Today is the last day I have to be worried about baby coming, cos as long as it comes after tomorrow I will be 37 weeks and be ok for the homebirth, although the midwife did say to me that they cant actually force me to go to hospital so if it was today I could probably get away with it!!

Anyway I’ll stop for now, Maddy is up and demanding attention, she’s having fun trying to put a hair clip into my hair, not very well I must say but she’s trying
