Evening!

Hey again everyone, well the last few weeks have been hectic! Last weekend I could do nothing all weekend as I was ill, had tonsilitus and felt crap all weekend and the beginning part of the week, was horrible horrible, and I passed on my germs to Jill (Sorry!!) Maddy has been really ill too, took her to the doctors twice last week cos she was so bad and had a really high temperature, she seems to be getting better now though thank god, although her nose is still running constantly!

We have spent most of this weekend finishing off Maddy’s room and I must say it is looking really lovely, just a couple of bits of skirting to finish now and it will be complete, but the border is up and the shelves etc, and really looks pretty!! Will post some pics once its completely done.

And Maddy, what can I say!! She is just growing up so fast, she now climbs up everything and is getting pretty fast at crawling now too. She is falling over loads as she just wants to stand up all the time, and often results in loosing her balance and hitting her chin or head on something, bless her! She is also really enjoying swimming, she has had two lessons now, and coming along really nicely. Next week is her first ‘dunk’ which is done by the teacher, so really looking forward to seeing how she reacts to that. Me and Rich are taking it in turns to swim with her each week, so next week will be Rich’s turn, and I shall take the camera and get some pics of her in her cute swimming costume, swimming and splashing around.

 Anyway, about time I was thinking of going to bed as have work tomorrow :(

The Long Day

January has been a very good month thus far: Madison has learnt how to crawl and she’s getting really good at it now. She’s now able to pull herself up sofa’s and some of her biggers toys too, which means work will soon commence to baby-proof parts of the house.

One other thing she’s just starting to do, is to stand up in her cot. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s so cute when she does. Walking into her room when she wakes in the morning (pre-7am much to my disliking) and she’s stood there grinning at me peering very slightly over the bars of the cot.

My new job is going really well, and I’m really enjoying most of it, although while times are tight on the helpdesk I seem to be getting dragged around back to the helpdesk for a few hours at a time, which isn’t helping my own workload in the least. Today was tough however, as I ended up staying at work until 7pm because of a problem found in ne of the sites were looking after. The problem probably would have got spotted sooner though had it not been for me having to take time away for other peoples work, but hey…..that’s a totally different story.

Madison had her first swimming session with Aquatots at the weekend just gone, which I had to do, as Nicky had the lurg, and although it wasn’t very eventful as it was the first session, it was still good seeing her enjoying herself in the water again, as she loves it, but next week is going to be a better session I think, although Nicky is doing that one :(

The Aftermath

Well it’s all over…back to the doom and gloom which is work, oh how I hate it!

Had a fab christmas and new year, but I wont go on about christmas as Richard already covered that, but New Years was fun! Lots of friends over, lots of booze, and singstar, guitar hero and wii!! Food was great! (Thanks hunny) The Leutenant was fab!!! (Thanks Matt) and I think everybody had a real good time! Am still very tired and I think another early night is in order.

Oh and just in case you forgot, we are getting married!! :P

I had better get back to work, lots of pics and videos to follow on the website so check back regulary.
